Join us for the Walk of Hope!

Every 2 years, Hope for Children Patron, Nadia Howell, gathers family, friends and supporters of Hope for Children to enjoy a family day out for all: the Walk of Hope. The walk starts and ends in Chiswick, West London, and is mostly along the beautiful River Thames, through the greenery of Richmond Park and on to Kingston before looping back towards Chiswick. Refreshments are provided along the route thanks to the Howell family.

No matter how old or young, everyone is welcome! There are 3 distance options for The Walk of Hope:

  1. The Mini Marathon (approx 5-6 miles) – this will actually end in Richmond Park
  2. The Half Marathon (approx 12-13 miles)
  3. The Full Marathon (approx 26 miles)

Entrance is £15 for adults and £10 for children with registration from 8.45am until 9.30am which includes breakfast! All participants are asked to make a fundraising pledge of £50 or families can collectively aim to raise £100, which can provide 5 children from slum communities in Uganda with the learning materials they need – including exercise books and pencils – to attend school for a whole year.

Families can choose to walk together or children can complete the mini marathon as mum or dad may decide on either the half, full or to support the day (children under 16 should be accompanied at all times by an adult).

This really is the perfect summer event for all the family, independent walkers, fitness fanatics or groups of friends just wanting to walk to help raise funds in support of vulnerable children.
