This weekend (9th-10th May) members of the Hope for Children team will be taking part in the epic HOPE24 running event in aid of the charity.

HOPE24 is a 24 hour relay event taking place in Newnham Park, Plymouth where from 12:00pm Saturday our team (which comprises of marketing manager, Chris, events & challenges officer, Sandy, office manager, Caroline and former interns, Frankie Tyler and Jasper Rook Williams) will be taking it in turns to run 5 miles until 12:00pm the next day.

Following on from last year’s successful event, HOPE24, which was founded by HOPE 2014 Marathon des Sables runner Danny Slay, is set to be a sell out with 480 runners from all around the UK signing up to take on the challenge.

Speaking about the decision to enter a HOPE team, Sandy, said, “As a charity we are incredibly lucky to have such fantastic supporters. Because of last year’s success, Danny has decided to run HOPE24 as an annual event in aid of HOPE and the Fire Fighters Charity.

“Words cannot describe how thankful we are for his continued support so we decided to put together a team to run in this brilliant event. Even though we are all so nervous, we are looking forward to this incredible challenge and stepping up to the plate like so many of our supporters.”
