On Friday, Hope for Children (HOPE) welcomed a team from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) to HOPE HQ in preparation for the launch of Your Business, Their Lives (YBTL) on Tuesday 26th May, 18:30-21:00.

In association with BeyondMeTeam Impact has been working with HOPE since January to develop YBTL into a corporate responsibility initiative that is taking a fresh approach to corporate-charity partnerships. Team founder, James Orme-Dawson, along with Robert Ewbank and Partner, Lee Clarke, spent the day with the HOPE team reviewing the YBTL website (to be launched on Tuesday 26th May), as well as finalising the three pillars of the initiative, and the associated benefits to partnering firms.

The team were particularly excited to explain how YBTL differs from other corporate responsibility partnerships and how it will add value to partners. Some of these benefits include:

  • Extensive & personal account management.
  • A strategic partnership calendar of events.
  • Staff accreditation opportunities.
  • A bespoke fundraising platforms & branded profile on the YBTL website.
  • Quarterly networking events with the YBTL community.

In addition, Lee Clarke was particularly impressed with the way in which YBTL has been structured so that 100% of funds raised could go directly to projects on the ground: “As an initiative (YBTL) I think it’s fantastic…one of the unique things is around the way that all of the money that people raise will go to where it’s really needed.”

With the help of Team Impact, YBTL is going further than regular charity partnership. Following Friday’s hugely successful day, Ed Fletcher, HOPE’s Business Development Manager said “Through YBTL, HOPE offers partners more than a standard charity partnership; for companies looking to establish Corporate Responsibility (CR) for the first time, we have created the infrastructure to collaboratively implement a robust and strategic programme that will engage staff at every level from day one. Equally, we see YBTL as an opportunity to combine an emotive CR partnership with a life-changing cause with the HR needs of partners, particularly through our accredited Ambassador programme. This is an exciting combination that will set a new standard for partnerships of this kind.”
