On the 21st July, Zonal organised a charity golf day in aid of Hope for Children at the wonderful Luton Hoo Hotel. Zonal have been working with hospitality companies for over 35 years, helping to achieve their business goals. Zonal is all about increasing revenue and decreasing costs through their sophisticated product suite, experienced high quality people and a true partnership approach to business. Zonal is a Founding Partner of the new Hope for Children “Your Business, Their Lives” campaign and won Hope for Children’s Corporate Partner of the Year Award for all their work and support on the campaign.
The day began on a high with a warm welcome from Luton Hoo, being greeted with bacon sandwiches, tea and coffee, which were enjoyed in the beautiful garden off the Club House. The grounds of Luton Hoo were superb! The weather was warm and sunny making a perfect day for a spot of golf.
After a quick warm-up on the practice green, the teams received a group briefing from the guys at Luton Hoo, followed by a welcome introduction from Clive Consterdine, Zonal’s Sales and Marketing Director.
The event saw a great turnout with 40 people playing overall, consisting of 10 teams, including 2 from Zonal. A special well done to Abigail Knowles for being the only female player of the day!
Once the day was in full swing, Cat and Lynn from Zonal paired up with our very own Ed and Caroline taking to the golf course in buggies selling refreshments including some much earned cold beers, chocolate and of course sausage rolls, all essential to a round of golf. Congratulations to Secure Retail who came up on top and both Zonal teams for coming a close joint second.
Caroline Lee, Hope for Children’s Fundraising Support Coordinator shared her thoughts on the event “the whole day was thoroughly enjoyable and a big success – everyone had a great time and well done to all who played.”
After the final hole had been played, an evening 3-course dinner, auction and raffle also took place within the Luton Hoo Hotel in aid of Zonal’s Great Wall of China trip for Hope for Children, where they will be walking 100km along the wall. There were some great prizes up for grabs including top football tickets.
A big well done to everyone who played and helped out on the day – everyone’s commitment and generosity made the day a huge success and meant a lot was raised for Hope for Children.
The final amount raised will be announced in the September Your Business, Their Lives Newsletter.
