The experience of a lifetime, your uni transforming the lives of children

We work with students and RAGs from across the country through our university programme, to create life-changing experiences like trekking to Machu Picchu or cycling from  London to Paris.

 

Thanks to our student and RAG supporters, each year our Uni programme raises thousands of pounds that enables us to support vulnerable children around the world. Here's what we're doing with universities this year:

Jordan: Dana to Petra

Journey on an immense multi-terrain adventure through one of the most captivating countries in the world, hike across the desert before winding through the legendary red canyons found on route to Petra itself, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

We begin in Dana, following ancient Bedouin paths for one hundred  kilometres of the 650-km Jordan Trail. Witness the hills, wadis and arid desert before we cross the mountains and canyons of Jordan’s Rift Valley. We complete the challenge by heading through 'little Petra', before finally arriving at the Red Rose City of the Nabateans, Petra. We have time to explore before taking a jeep ride across the desert for relaxing day at the Dead Sea to round off the adventure.

Machu Picchu Trek

One of the 7 modern wonders of the world, and an iconic South American landmark, the lost city of Machu Picchu rests hidden within the Peruvian Andes. 

On the 6-day expedition you will venture from the historic market town of Cusco on a spectacular adventure through the glaciers and mountains of Salkantay, ancient Inca paths and dense jungle as you journey towards the fabled ruins.

Dash to Dubrovnik

The Dash to Dubrovnik is the ultimate student road trip. Cover 2000 miles, 12 countries, in just 7 days!  Convoy and party through Europe’s coolest destinations, with a group of mates in a £500 car. A true Top Gear inspired adventure, whilst raising money for a great cause. A trip that looks just as good on your Instagram as it does on your CV.

Inflatable 5K 

The world’s largest and best fun run, the Inflatable 5K, is coming to you! The Inflatable 5K obstacle course has got even bigger, bouncier and better. The unique Inflatable Obstacle Course Race has less running and even more obstacles. New obstacles combined with new pumping music zones to motivate you around the course, this year’s Inflatable 5K is the best yet!

Skydive

A Tandem skydive is the most popular of all skydives. It requires only 30 minutes of training before you then jump strapped to your instructor. Enjoy the exhilarating feeling of flying through the clouds from over 10,000 feet at up to 120 mph! It is a truly unforgettable experience, and certainly a bucket list item!!!

Run 4 Charity

It’s never too late to join one of these great events. There are so many different options to choose from, just follow the Run for Charity link here and you can sign up today! 

Why not challenge yourself this year to something like the Cardiff Half Marathon, Royal Parks Half or Manchester marathon…?  Get fit, raise awareness & vital funds for Hope for Children, and achieve an incredible challenge.

Apply to be an Ambassador

Our network of Student Ambassadors are the heartbeat of our student programme. Our Ambassador programme ensures that the time and effort you put into leading teams on international expeditions or organising on-campus fundraising events develops key skills that will make you a top graduate.

Become a RAG Partner

For many years now, RAG partners have raised millions of pounds to enable us to support thousands of children across the world. By working in partnership and providing outstanding support, we can help new RAGs to grow or larger RAGs to expand and flourish.

Take part in a Challenge

Every year, hundreds of students take part in challenge events, from taking on a skydive to trekking to Machu Picchu. Taking part in a Hope for Children challenge event is the perfect way to make new friends, have a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and have a transformational impact on children.
